Raoul Wallenberg School has taken a significant step in its digital development with the launch of a new website and an updated visual identity.
RWS Järvastaden, “the school at the heart of the village,” is based on the core idea that the school should be a central point for the residents of the surrounding community. Our mission is to make a difference for every individual student. At our school, the daily activities are characterized by a sense of community, where our core values—courage, initiative, compassion, and honesty—are of great importance. Along with these values, high-quality teaching and a focus on relationships and self-leadership, we help develop our students.
The school’s health profile is an important part of the daily activities. Our recess activities include several structured programs where students practice social interaction. We collaborate with the company “Trivselledare”, through which students are trained to take responsibility for creating activities that promote inclusion and physical activity for all students at the school.
We offer your child a safe school environment with clear routines, student influence, a well-functioning student health team that includes preventive safety work, and professional, dedicated educators.

RWS queue system – criteria
We work on building confident students by focusing on concepts such as self-esteem and GRIT, as well as fostering relationship-building. We believe in strong collaboration between the school and home, where we work together towards the same goals, ensuring the best possible support for each student.
The school opened in 2017 and is currently a F-5 school. Our operations take place in three separate school buildings, where the lower and middle grades are integrated according to a clear structure, with the aim of creating a safe environment through various forms of mentorship activities. The food at the school is prepared on-site in the school’s kitchen.
We have our own school library, kitchen, gymnasium, woodworking classrooms, music room, and home economics room. Additionally, the sports program rents space at the nearby padel hall to maximize students’ opportunities for a varied physical education curriculum.

The school is centrally located in Järvastaden and is close to nature reserves, forests, parks, and sports facilities like Järvastaden IP and Ursvik. We also have Naturskolan at Överjärva Gård, just a stone’s throw away, which is visited by all grade levels once per term.
Our inviting schoolyard encourages a variety of creative activities. It features an artificial turf field where team sports and various games take place, a sandbox, several swings, and a stage that invites students to engage in dance and movement.
Our facilities are bright and stylish, with furniture and decor chosen to contribute to a positive learning environment and good study conditions. The classrooms are thoughtfully designed with the core idea of equality in mind. They are adapted to reduce distractions that could affect learning and to inspire students.
The after-school care rooms are inspiring and playful, encouraging a wide range of creative activities.
