Home / RWF Mariehäll
The preschool is located by Bällstabron, right on the border between Bromma and Sundbyberg. RWF Mariehäll’s sister preschool, RWF Bromma, is situated in Beckomberga, next to Raoul Wallenberg School’s primary schools in the area.
At RWF Mariehäll, the focus is on engaged and respectful interactions. The preschool fosters a strong sense of community, where everyone takes responsibility for creating a learning and inclusive environment. By working together towards shared goals, we provide each child with the best conditions for a positive and enriching preschool experience.
We emphasize active listening, supporting children in recognizing and expressing their own abilities, emotions, and qualities. We actively work on developing empathy, compassion, and respect for each other and the world around us. By working in small groups, we challenge children according to their individual level of development, embracing both differences and similarities as valuable learning opportunities.
At RWF Mariehäll, we prioritize health and physical activity, ensuring that we spend time outdoors in all weather conditions and always serve nutritious and high-quality meals. We play games, build obstacle courses, jump-start the week, and dance into the weekend to promote children’s physical development and motor skills. Through movement, we create both joy and learning in nature and on our playgrounds. The preschool is close to beautiful parks and forests, which we frequently visit to explore the local environment together with the children. We aim to provide children with opportunities to discover and learn through creative activities that stimulate curiosity and development.
At Raoul Wallenberg Schools, we believe in a cohesive educational journey, which we offer in Bromma. Here, children can start preschool at the age of one and continue through primary school, graduating at 16 within the same educational environment. Our experience shows that a continuous school path helps each child reach their full potential, fostering both academic and character development.

The goal is to create a pre-school environment where every child is given the opportunity to grow and reach their full potential. I want our teams to be characterized by a shared commitment to making a difference for each individual child, where we recognize and respond to their needs and strengths
By focusing on reading and language development, we support both the children’s literacy and personal growth. We use language development tools such as Babblarna, Före Bornholmsmodellen, and Bornholmsmodellen. Feeling confident in their language skills strengthens children’s self-esteem and academic progress. We incorporate words in various ways, use visual aids, and TAKK (Signs as Alternative and Augmentative Communication) to support communication and encourage children to express their thoughts and ideas.
The forest invites exploration, play, and learning, providing opportunities for children to learn through nature. By playing and discovering in the forest environment, children develop their senses, motor skills, and ability to collaborate. The forest becomes an inspiring and educational space where children can explore, create, and learn in a hands-on way.
The pedagogical indoor environment is designed to promote play, exploration, and learning. Through inspiring and diverse learning spaces equipped with various materials, children’s curiosity and imagination are encouraged. The environment supports children’s individual needs, providing room for development at their own pace while offering challenges to take the next step in their learning journey.
It is a well-loved, smaller pre-school with 60 children divided across three departments, housed in bright and spacious facilities. The pre-school is located on the ground floor of a multi-family building in Mariehäll, near Bällstaån and close to Sundbyberg.
Each department has its own entrance and a newly renovated yard tailored to the children’s play needs, along with a shared yard in the center. All the yards feature sandboxes, providing a safe and stimulating environment for outdoor play and learning.
The indoor environment is tailored, inviting, and appropriately challenging for the children’s ages. Play materials are easily accessible to the children, and we emphasize order and organization to create a safe and stimulating learning space where children can explore and grow.
At Raoul Wallenberg School in Skövde, there are 514 students. Two of them, Amanda Lindqvist (Grade 8) and Jacob Aldén (Grade 9), are both very satisfied with their choice of school. In this feature, they offer us a glimpse into their school day and warmly recommend RWS to others. When the option of “Student’s Choice” […]
