Location: Raoul Wallenberg International School, Palma, Mallorca, Spain
Position: Primary School Classroom Teacher (Years 1–6) Full-time
Reporting to: Head of School and Primary School Principal
Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with the role’s responsibilities and the
candidate’s experience. Additional benefits include professional development opportunities,
group health insurance options, free lunch, tuition for children, and a relocation allowance for
international hires.
Visa Requirements: Candidates must be an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen or have a work Visa to apply.
We are unable to organise work and residence permits.

The Opportunity
Raoul Wallenberg International School (RWIS) is excited to announce its recruitment of Primary
School Teachers for the 2025–2026 academic year, supporting students in Years 1 to 6.

Position Scope
Teaching and Learning:
● Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in line with the RWIS curriculum,
fostering curiosity and a student-centred approach to learning.
● Integrate education for sustainable development, project-based learning, outdoor
and experiential learning into classroom activities to enhance student engagement and
understanding.
● Promote play-based learning in the early years and ensure teaching reflects the
developmental needs of younger students.
● Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking,
collaboration, and creativity.
Curriculum Planning and Assessment:
● Design, plan, and implement lessons across core subject areas, such as English,
Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and Inquiry Time, ensuring a cross-curricular
approach with specialist learning areas.
● Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform
teaching strategies.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and manage student
data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
● Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment of curriculum
planning and assessment practices.
Character Development and Values-Based Education:
● Actively promote the school’s guiding principles and core values through the Class
Connect Programme, fostering character development in students through daily
interactions and teaching practices.
● Model and instil values such as honesty, compassion, courage, and drive through
classroom activities and community engagement.
Student Wellbeing and Support:
● Prioritise the emotional and social wellbeing of students, ensuring they feel safe, valued,
and supported in their learning environment.
● Collaborate with the Student Life Coordinator and School Counsellor to address
individual student needs and promote a holistic approach to student development.
Collaboration and Community Building:
● Work collaboratively with colleagues across the primary school to plan, deliver, and
review teaching and learning programmes.
● Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and the wider school community,
ensuring open communication and strong partnerships.
● Actively participate in the school’s professional development programme and
contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Bringing Personal Passions to Life:
● Bring your unique skills, passions, and expertise into the classroom and the wider
school community, enriching students’ educational experiences.
● Contribute to the ASA programme by leading clubs, activities, or
workshops that align with your interests and talents.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications and Experience:
● A degree in Education, with preference for a Master’s degree or PhD.
● Experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum, British National Curriculum,
or other international programmes such as the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
● A strong record of teaching experience in primary education, with demonstrable
expertise in teaching, learning, and assessment.
● Proficiency in English (fluency in Spanish, Swedish, German, or another language is an
asset).
