– providing the foundations for lifelong learning
A safe, caring and nurturing environment for children in their early years shapes the society of the future. At RWS, we want our schools to be a dynamic force in building this future. Our mission is “to make a positive difference for every single child and pupil in our schools”. Our schools shall contribute to the development of the local community and serve as a meeting place for children, young people and adults – “The school in the middle of the village”.
Our ambition is for Raoul Wallenberg Pre-Schools to lay the foundations for lifelong learning. This means that we offer children a good education in which care, nurturing and learning form a whole. We work using the preschool curriculum, the RWS core values and the specific local conditions as the basis for all teaching, planned and spontaneous, taking the different needs of each individual as our starting point. In cooperation with each family, our work aims to promote the development of character so that our pupils grow up to be responsible citizens in our democratic society.
Through our individual approach, we ensure that each child has the opportunity to develop their own skills and abilities. We observe carefully in order to identify how each child learns and functions in relation to other children and adults as early as possible.
Our preschools work every day with our watchwords of honesty, compassion, courage and enterprise in mind. In order for all children to feel seen and safe, we apply these watchwords together with the RWF model, which means:
- that we welcome every child to preschool each day,
- that our activities are orderly and well-structured, and
- that healthy living and exercise are an important part of each day.
