Children coming from our own preschools are personally handed over to the responsible preschool class teacher by the responsible preschool teacher.
-
At the beginning of the first term of pre-school class, the pupils’ knowledge status is assessed and a first Individual development plan (IUP) is drawn up in agreement with the parents.
-
The IUP is a constantly updated document that is available to teachers and parents on the Admentum school platform right up to the end of grade 9.
-
Individual development discussions are held once a term throughout compulsory school.
-
We use state-of-the-art IT tools, which allow teachers to tailor their teaching to the individual.
-
At RWS we have joint digital subject masters in each subject and for each grade that we develop in the Canvas learning platform. These subject masters are developed jointly by teachers from all our schools under the guidance of our senior teachers.
-
In Canvas, students have access to a digital course for each subject based on these subject masters. They contain a rough plan for the whole school year. Before each lesson, teachers publish teaching materials, links to digital learning materials, educational videos and various tasks for pupils to complete and submit.
-
Submissions in grades 4-9 are generally in digital form with written text, speech or film recorded by the pupil using their computer and available software in Canvas.
-
When the teacher assesses each pupil’s assignment in Canvas, the result is updated in the pupil’s own subject matrix in Admentum.
-
All pupils from grade 4 have access to their own Chromebook.
-
After-school activities contribute to the students’ knowledge development through special learning activities in the afternoons.
-
In the transition between the teacher-led lessons and after-school activities, we have activities related to the tuition the pupils received earlier in the day. This may be a practical application of the lesson content. It may include homework help and other special support for individual pupils or groups of pupils.
-
For students who need extra challenges beyond what is offered in the normal pace of lessons, we offer special activities.

For pupils with special needs, we have a Studio in our compulsory schools. In the Studio there is scheduled special education by special needs teachers and subject teachers.
